Use of event names and/or logos owned by the Adirondack North Country Sports Council require written permission from the ADKSC.

Third parties must have either a current contract, license agreement or Memorandum of Understanding with the ADKSC for logo usage. Filling out the form does not constitute a license agreement, nor guarantee approval.

ADKSC may require additional information prior to making a determination. ADKSC may, in its sole discretion and for any reason refuse to allow a proposed use, require modifications to any proposed use, or require discontinuation of any proposed use.

What Are the Legal Guidelines for Using an ADKSC Logo?

ADKSC’s logos are protected by the laws of copyright and trademark and, as such, are valuable assets of the ADKSC.

Who Can Use these Logos?

The logo may only be used by third parties with a current contract, license agreement or Memorandum of Understanding with the ADKSC who have successfully completed the approval process.

Can I Change the ‘Look’ of the Logos or the Colors?

The structure and elements of logos must not be altered in ANY way. Please refer to the brand guidelines that will be provided with your logo(s).

How Do I Register to Use the Logo? How Long Does the Permission Last?

Complete and submit the attached Logo Usage Request Form . Permission will be granted for a specific, mutually agreed upon time period, provided all logo requirements are met. Important Note: Discontinuing your affiliation with an ADKSC event or the end of your contract period will result in automatic withdrawal of permission to use any ADKSC logo.

Can the Permission be Withdrawn?

The ADKSC may request to review printed material to monitor usage and compliance with logo guidelines. As the owner of the trademarked/copyrighted work, the ADKSC reserves the right to automatically withdraw logo usage permission at any time and to bring an action to protect and preserve the ADKSC’s rights. The ADKSC is not responsible for loss of business or any damages in the event permission to use a logo is revoked.

What Happens if the ADKSC changes a Logo?

The ADKSC will provide advance notice of any upcoming changes to the logo. Sixty (60) days following such notice, changes must be incorporated to any logo usage, to avoid violation of copyright and trademark law. Note: logo changes would be rare and would occur only in extreme instances.

What Versions of the Logo Are Available?

Logos are available in both a horizontal and vertical format in full color, black, & white with a transparent background. You may request the version that best suits your needs. Reminder: Colors may not be altered in any way; see above.
